A Tour of the Water Purification Facility
This is a detail of the wall map of the Cambridge Watershed that is on display in the second floor corridor of the Walter J. Sullivan Water Purification Facility. The darkened area is the city of Cambridge, with every street and building included. Fresh Pond is visible at the western boundary of the city. The map includes the two Cambridge Reserviors located in Lexington, Lincoln, Waltham, and Weston.
Tim MacDonald, Manager of Water Operations, began the program using this map to give participants an overall view of the Cambridge watershed.
